Busy Saturday!~ Soccer & Gaga's Birthday Fun!

Long time no blog! We have been busy with work, the girls, b-ball cheer coaching, spring football, Chris' masters, Student Council advising and life. NO EXCUSE- I shall faithfully blog this week! :)

Our Saturday started with Soccer. Dad had a morning football meeting so he couldn't attend. :( However, Grandpa and Grandma came to help and cheer Liah on!
Grandpa was on Maia duty.
Grandma was on Liah duty with Mom!
It was another fun day!
Next week they are playing a real game! Liah is ready. I am not so sure about the other team members!
It should be funny.

After the game we had to get ready for Grandma's Birthday lunch! Liah decided to go home with Grandma and Grandpa. This is the first time she has done this.
It resulted in this... an empty seat.
And this... a very sad Mom. Mom's going to need lots of baby-steps before any sleepovers happen! Silly Woman!
We went to Mammoth near Gold Canyon for lunch. The Gooden's were in charge of the meal plans. We work with "Cowboy Dan's" daughter, he is owner of the steakhouse. We also are friends with Cari a Cowgirl server in the saloon! We were not sure what to expect!? Boy were we surprised!

This is a sampling of the shoe choices... and the terrain! Ughhhh
Hmmm, 3 inch wedges coupled with brick and dirt roads, hills and horse droppings!?
Not such a good idea. Love the Belle necklace Fruitcup!
Maia ate like a champ!
So did Mom! :)

Aunt Manda found her true love... hairy and locked up!
We made ourselves comfortable while dining, drinking, singing and plain old having the kind of fun other people stare at and are jealous of!
The parking lot included "parked" horses people rode to the place... no joke!
Aunt Manda was a bit weary of the place.
However, she warmed up quickly when realizing they would allow her to get grilled cheese off the kid's menu. She then set out to get a trinket for memories... however all she came out with was CANDY!!!

But really, can you believe we live here?! It is absolutely amazing!

Aunt Manda needed the horse ropes to keep these 2 in line! We would have gotten a picture with Grandma and Grandpa... but Grandpa was MIA. He later disclosed he was out makin' gold prospectin' friends! (beep, beep... think I hear the metal detector already!)
Funny signs amuse us!
Haha

We took a train ride! It was very scenic!

We all agreed that Aunt Michelle would love it here! We thought of her taking pictures of all the scenery! We plan on taking all visitors to this place... bring your boots and cowboy hat! :)
Maia LOVED the train ride. She passed out on Dad's leg!

Mom was pretty excited to see they had a western "Bucks!" haha
Then we went back the Grandpa and Grandma's for cake.
The roses are in full bloom!

Maia is not a huge fan of grass. She was balancing on her dupa!
Liah loves it... and blue suckers from Aunt Manda's "trinket" quest!
We had cake.
The girls jumped right into the spirit!
We are pretty sure they think it is their birthday!
Maia loved the country music at the saloon. She put on a little show!

The gang-

Did we mention Ga celebrated her Birthday with some beer! She is 55 (I say this cause she looks darn good!)! It made her feel pretty good and it made her ears very hot?! She started to create her own words! She defined our Vegas hotel room as "sminy," you know small and tiny... duh! Have another Ga...

We had such connections, VIP status, Gaga had a birthday tribute from the live entertainment!

Team Itty Bitty

I had my first soccer game/practice on Saturday. I am on team Itty Bitty. It's just a beginning group for kids 18 months to 3 years old. The next group is at age 4! I get to wear this cool shirt. Mom isn't pleased because you try to match cute shorts and hair bows to orange and teal blue!
I am on the older end of my group. I probably could handle the "team" sports, but for now this rocks.
I really enjoyed learning skills under the direction of Coach Michael (Mom says he is just Mike, I argued with her... she's wrong!).
Mom and Dad get to participate to help me out. This week, Mom ran around like a fool and Dad was the photographer, Maia keeper and bag holder.
I had to tell Mom what to do a lot. She didn't mind, she was only a cheerleader! :)
I took team pictures and individual ones after the game. Mom and Dad bought some to share. I know they will do the fancy "take a picture of a picture" to blog when they get them! I was so good for the group pic. I was one of the only kids that didn't have to have their Mommy in the picture or near by screaming and yelling to keep them happy. To be honest I was surprised my Mom didn't just jump in for fun or that she didn't do the splits in the front! I also was the only Itty Bitty who only had one proof taken of my individual pic. The lady was so surprised how well I posed with the ball. She obviously does not know my parents!
I was so tuckered out after soccer I passed out on the blue chair! I can't wait for next week!
I have also been working on my wink. Grandpa started me on this a year ago. I finally have it mastered and figured since I was blogging and all I would show you!
Mom and Dad just really liked this outfit, especially it's lack of pink, so I blogged it too!
Go Team Itty Bitty!

Love- The Soccer Star Liah

I am changing my reputation!

I have been known as the laid-back, well-mannered, easy going, unassuming child. I have taken a backseat, as little sister, to my ham, center stage big sister.
I am here to tell you, "NO MORE!"
I am now a one year old big girl. I have my opinions and my own voice. Let me warn you, that voice is loud!

I am all about getting my way, the first time.
And I promise you, I can throw a tantrum like no other.
I can scream, yell and break eardrums.
I have even taken to back bending, leg kicking, head rubbing and dog tormenting!
Don't mess with Maia... the new motto of my home!

Thanks- Love- Miss Maia
