On the 1st Day of Christmas

My true love gave to me.....

Snow in the valley?
I know how absurd.
But it really was coming,
or so we heard.
We dressed up the girls,
off we went.
It was crushed fridge ice...
$32 spent!?
Desert and snow,
equals muddy packed ice.
Kids in flip-flops...
Really? Nice!
So we waited in line, slid
and we petted.
No free food from Gapa,
cause then we jetted.
Mom and Dad shopped,
so did we.
We played Christmas elves
at the Dollar Tree.
We looked at the lights
on Gaga's block.
We traveled home.
Day 1 rocked!

Thank you Aunt Manda, Gaga and Gapa for making Day 1 happen!

Friends

Thank the Lord for my peeps. Last week of school, Santa watching and 30 "Kinders"= insanity. Leah, Enika & Heather (who was too busy organizing to eat lunch) made everything better. Thanks for the laughs!

Weekend

The weekend was packed full of excitement... kind of. Friday, after Maia's dance with Gapa we went to Lowes, the tree festival and dinner. Then, Mom woke up sick on Saturday. :( There went the plans, rescheduled for a later date! We played and snuggled with Dad all day! It was fantastic. Sunday we played catch-up. Hoping for more real excitement next weekend!

Gingerbread Girls

Gaga and Gapa gave us a gingerbread train for St. Nick's Day. We really enjoyed tasting and building the train. It was mm mmm delicious!

Kath and Kim Versus Black Friday

Beauty treatments for the big day!

Our inspiration, the ultimate shoppers and fashionistas, Kim and Kath:

Our version of Kath and Kim:
Kim in all her glory.
Kath waiting for a sale!
Wal*Mart or bust!
I was stopped and given some spiritual information. Perhaps, they thought I needed some Holy intervention.
Target or bust!
Kim checked out mentally and was DONE!
Naughtiness ensues whenever we are together!

Some private time:
After our shopping adventure commenced (this was our first Black Friday! We already planned next year's outfits!) we went for food. In the the parking lot we saw Santa!!! Ahhh bet our antics got us on the "bad list!"

Thanksgiving...

We traveled out to Sun City West and had a fabulous dinner at Aunt Winnie and Uncle Lee's.
Billy, Cindy and the kids were in from Ohio.

It's nice to have a large group to celebrate with.... reminds me of the Thanksgivings growing-up. (How I miss it!)
The weather was beautiful and the food was yummy.
The kids had a ton of fun (Aunt Winnie will be finding fingerprints forever!)!

Kissing cousins (true to my heart!) :)

I am so thankful for family. I am truly blessed to be surrounded by such wonderful people.

Now break out the egg nog and call me Griswald.... Christmas here I come!
