Spreading more love...

Let the BDA continue...

I love my sister, my best friend, Manda. I respect the woman she is. I am proud of her. I love what an amazing teacher she is. I love that she is an awesome Aunt. I love that she will make me laugh until I pee my pants. I love that she is carefree and tells it like it is.
I love to drive her crazy, over-stimulate her, bite her, plan things for her, boss her, prank text her, workout with her and "moley-mole" her!

I love, love my parents. They are our support system, they love us unconditionally. I love that they moved out to AZ with us. I love that they come to all of our events and cheer like crazy. I love that they get us out of jams! I love that they are the BEST grandparents.
I love that my Mom does my laundry for me sometimes. I love that she loves Stella like a grandchild. I love that she is like a 10 year old and gets down and plays. I love that my Dad gets me and cracks frequent, inappropriate jokes. I love that I am still his girl.
I love what they have instilled in us that allows us to be good parents. I love what they teach the girls and how important our family is!

Let the love-fest begin!

Happy love week. In celebration I am going to show some BDA (blogging displays of affection)!

I............
My happy little family. They are my life. Chris is the best hubby. I love him. I love how smart and funny he is. I love how he shows how much his girls mean to him. I love that he is still hot (and thinks I am too). I love fighting and making up. I love chasing him. I love that he is an amazing teacher and coach. I love the way he smells. The list goes on and on...

I love the moments that make us laugh. The moments that make us cry. The ones that have us absolutely in stitches. The ones that have us in complete amazement. I love our language and the nicknames we have for each other. (Liah's wonder with the hail!)
I love my girls curly hair. I love their cafe' latte skin and Chris' mocha latte. I love their painted toes and muscular legs. I love how they giggle from their bellies. I love their dimples and their dark eyes. They are my perfection.
I love dressing up and dancing with them. I love glittering them and snuggle buggles. I love that Liah calls hangnails feathers and calls her nose dusty sometimes. I love that she is my first, my diva, my clone and my best friend.
I love chasing and tickling. I love cheering and kisses. I love that their cuddly wubbies think I am Mom too. I love that Maia thinks everything is green. I love that she is a Mama's girl. I love the squinty face she makes at night before sleep. I love that she is my baby, my crazy girl, my best friend and my smoocher!
Not just at Valentine's, but everyday I am so happy and blessed to be Mom!

Education Solution...

Privately run schooling with Miss Gaga! :) The girls are ready for school! Here's an update!
Liah has made it to the letter Q! She is all ready for DIBELS LNF and ISF (teachers know what I am talking about!!) :) The highlight of the week is the letter plate! These are our faves!!

Maia has mastered the following shapes and is counting up to 15!
They have calendar each day and are working on sight words and current events!
Thanks Gaga! I have faith that the government can't cut you! :)

Visit to the vet!

AKA- our children to the pediatrician! We found a new doctor, Dr. Garcia. We were very pleased, thank goodness after the hot messes we have had in the past! The girls checked out normal! Liah was the usual calm, cool and collected child. Maia was a dramatic, defiant diva, also the usual! :)
Maia was 26 lbs (70%) and 34.5 inches (60%)= Mom, short and stubby! :)

Liah was 34.5 lbs (70%) and 40 inches (90%)= Dad, muscular and tall (well, kind of Chris!)

They checked out in all areas. The doctor was really impressed with both of their verbal/vocab/language skills. Liah is well above 1,000 words (she referred to Dr. Garcia as her "new pediatrician!") and Maia has sentences and is far beyond 50 words (case in point, "I get down, I mad!" in response to the shots!)
Lord only knows where they get all the talking from!? Chris and I are so shy and reserved! :)
Love you girls!

Rally

As educators, the recent budget cut hits close to home. We peacefully joined forces with Dr. Nine (our superintendent) and many other concerned folks to raise awareness for our cause.

Unfortunately, our strong voices were ignored and the state is facing a large cut. I wonder what this might mean in the future for my children!?
For now, we remain positive and vocal, stopping to smell the roses...... for now!

Kind of a BIG deal!

Yep, my hubby, Coach Gooden is a BIG deal. He lead the Eagles to a second victory, in 2 years! His undefeated record speaks volumes to his coaching ability and the talent of his team. I am a proud "football widow!"

The cheerleaders travel with Dad! :)
(such great form at 3 1/2!)
The entire family came out to rally around the team. It was an awesome 20-0 win. We celebrated after the game with a family/coaches' dinner!
Coach Gooden will step-up as Florence's Offensive Coordinator for the 2009 season. We love you Dad!

Showing the love

I tried to get a jump on Valentines! The girls already had their outfits and bows, so Aunt Manda and I staged a photo shoot! Liah was very cooperative!
Maia was Maia!

We got a FEW good shots. I am calling a re-do! :)
Stella loves it, can't you tell!?
Trouble!!!
