Summer kickoff!

We started break with a day of fun in the sun!

We had a picnic.

This marks day one of tanning!

We swam for hours!

It tuckered Maia out!

Then, we went to start Liah's 4th birthday (6/14) celebration! She wanted her ears pierced!

We were honest with her about the entire process, pain included. She understood, she was all in!

She recovered quickly!

Then was even smiling!

We took her to the Disney store for a bravery toy. Maia fell in love with these shades!

Then we went out for a yummy dinner. How stinking sweet is this picture!?

Then we did our annual "kickoff" and bought our matchy~match Nikes!

It's the final countdown!

Yeesh what a last week of school! Busy~busy~busy! This is me after promotion. The kids were awesome!
This is a bad pic (through a window) of Chris at the 8th grade promotion. He was the closing speaker! He rocked!

Manda chaperoned the dance with us, as well as helped run my life all week. She is a saint!

Melissa, a Kindergarten teacher, helped chaperone the 7th and 8th grade dance!

Since we are parents, we took some extra dancers with us!

Manda sat out the slow songs cause she couldn't find an 8th grader to dance with!

I found a partner! (and no I am not preggers~ my Hannah Montana wanna be outfit was bad!)

We had a blast!

We danced the most!

We fed the kids Cheetos to help sustain their energy level! They danced til 9pm!

My Mom had to revisit bed rest so we took the girls to school with us. This is Liah with Belle. They could be sisters!

The last days were sad because my girl, my neighbor, my friend Enika is leaving! :(

Things will not be the same!
With the close of the school year I am going to miss my awesome class, I am already nervous for next year, but I am so ready for summer! Sunshine, swimming, tank tops, flip flops and birthdays here I come!

Did I mention quality time with my family! Oh Yeah!!

I was pretty stinkin bummed when field day had to be rescheduled because of rain! Grrrr
Chris got some of his new bike stuff. The girls got a kick out of the huge box!

Liah went to stay with Aunt Manda! (Auntie finished school before we did!)

So we were down to one sweet child!

The last weeks were crazy busy!

A Special Date

Manda and I took Liah out for a special girls' date! We went shopping and out to eat. (Maia stayed home and played with Daddy!)
We laughed so hard. Liah got to pick out a few things and ordered chicken and dessert!

Manda and I had a cherry stem tying competition. I won! (Look at the intensity!)

It was great to spend time with just Miss Liah. She is growing up too fast!

Dad gets the next date and get to stay home with Maia! :)

Proud Moments!

A few things have made me turn cartwheels lately (in the job department): First, my class got 100% benchmark on DIBELS (all of Kinder did, we are awesome like that!) I received the teacher award. Chris said I blog everything and I should mention it. 'Cause he is proud of me! ;) awww
AND!!!! We went to the Student Council Convention and performed our routine and cheered and we won MOST SPIRITED (a most coveted award for me~ I am keeping the tradition alive!)

It really has been a great year. I am sad to see my class move on. I love the kids, I love their families, I pray next year is just as GREAT!
