A case of the sillies...

Perhaps this sugar filled Oreo was the reason Maia went wacky today!?
She spent most of the night cracking us up! Here she is sniffing her microphone!
She enjoyed wrestling with Dad!

She hung out, upside-down for a good deal of time, watching Wizard of Oz!
Then, she emptied the container cupboard and proceeded to climb inside and on the shelf.
Finally, before her bath she modeled some of the latest trends in head gear.
She is such a little ham!

Some primping...

Today for fun Mom straightened my hair. This is the before...
and after.... Check me out. I think I look like a woman!
It took quite a few products to get my hair this way! Can you believe how long it is!?
I fluffed and shook my long hair all day!

Mom also did a pedicure!

Wow I am looking good!
My hair started to spring back to waves before long!

Everyday should be like today! Queen Liah

Sliding through Saturday-

We have been waiting to use the new slip-n-slide since the grass came in! Today was a fun, family-filled day of sliding and sun!

Dad even took turns "throwing" the girls down the slide. It was great!

We all kept cool and laughed a lot! Yeah for the new toy!

Happy Birthday to....

Manda turned 22 today! She is at cheer nationals in St. Louis! Her celebration will be postponed! She already has our cousin Miss Essie as her birthday buddy!
However on this special day Miss Ella welcomed another birthday buddy!
Her new little brother entered the family!
Introducing Samual Thomas, weighing in at 6 lbs. 15 ozs. and 20 inches long!
Sam is the MAN amongst a bunch of ladies! It's kinda funny, his Mom Jen is my cousin, like a sister, one of my best friends. His Dad is Todd, one of Chris' best friends. Their romance sparked at our wedding, thus creating a further cousin/chachi fusion, made stronger by nieces and nephews!
Grandma with Sam!

Auntie Shell with Sam!
Welcome to the family little man.
We love you lots!
We can't wait to meet you!

Bumps and bruises!

During the past week both of our rough and tumble children have sustained head bumps. Liah gashed hers on the island, no stitches, but blood, band aids and frozen blueberries to ease the pain.
Maia rammed into the couch dancing with undies on her head, we treated in with frozen corn!? Then today hit her eye with her train.
With all of our little girls' scrapes we have invested in scar zone! :) Yeesh.... the stress!

Happy Hump Day!

We went back to school! I have 27 energetic kindergartners and Chris has 6 periods on 7th and 8th grade. We come home to Liah and Maia. Needless to say, we are a bit tired!:)
We have spent our nights outside playing together!
Bean isn't sold on this new schedule!
Look at her little toes in the grass!
We are excited for the weekend!
Happy Hump Day!

Old friends

We enjoyed a Cistolo pool party Friday! Chris' old friend Demond and his g-friend Larissa were in town.
We enjoyed some of Lisa's yummy tacos, music by Mike and fun with Anthony and Nate while reminiscing about old times.

Their yard is great, packed with FUN!

(Happy 5th Birthday Anth!)
Maia had so much fun, she was all tuckered out!
But darn it, in true Gooden form snapped back into party mode! :)
Maia crashed around 11. Liah kicked it until 1:30am!!! Thanks for the good times!

Back to school!

Tomorrow is our first day back with students! I had to switch rooms for the ninth time. It's getting old. However, I get to reorganize and run around like a monkey during teacher work week. Chris moved too. He teaches 7th and 8th grade, he was done in a few hours! Thank goodness though, he was my copy boy! :) Here's the room!

I am pretty excited about this year. I have a really good feeling!

Meet the teacher night went smashingly! I love my team. Here is Enika.
The back of Autumn and Leah.....(not pictured was Eileen!)

Here's to a successful and exhausting first week. Good bye summer! :(
