What a week!

This entire past week has been a doozy! Dad was away all week at football camp! Everyone knows that means Mom is alone.... thus a wreck! However, Gaga, Gapa and Aunt Manda came to the rescue to spend countless hours amongst the chaos and babysat the Gteam.
Gapa brought lunch!!!
We went to the mall!

Aunt Amanda was quite the trooper! She spent nights at the house and was Mom's surrogate partner! She will wait awhile to have children! :)

We spent Dad's money at the mall! Please notice my "sharing" face!
Please notice Maia's "sharing" face. Wow Mom and Dad have their hands full with us!

We bought the tiara and wand for Maia's room. I just think it looks more appropriate on me. I am the Princess (only because Mom claims to be the queen!)!
Maia got some new hairclips for her combover look. She is too cute!
Ribbons-
Cherries-
Giraffes- (They are in all different colors!!)
We went with Gaga to Sonic and saw this funny truck. "Got poo?" The gentleman was a plumber. He stopped and gave us "Got poop?" buttons! Look for them in future blogs!
We went to spend time at Gaga and Gapa's for more food and slip-n-sliding!
Maia is Gapa Jr.!
We spent a good part of the week a mess! It was not an easy week for so many reasons... we sure missed our rock... Dad!

Even though I have my own camera I steal Mom's at times!
We went to breakfast and swimming Friday.
We had a big day planned. We were going to clean the house really well, finish Maia's room and get ready for Daddy's return on Saturday.
However, these pictures were taken right before MF2 hit our house! MF2 (a private name) is the flu bug that ran ramped through our house.
At about 12 noon Aunt Manda was struck with the blasted influenza! Right about the time I detected her puking.... Mom fell weak and hit the couch. Gapa picked up Auntie at 1:45. Mom was still stagnant and I was left to run the house. At about 4:30pm Mom sang some potty praises. Naturally, without Daddy, Mom called Gaga. She left ailing Aunt Manda to come and watch us while Mom was sick. (Secretly, Mom was hoping Gaga would hold her hair back and rub her head!) Well, at about 7pm that plan was foiled when I started puking! Have I told you I don't handle the flu all too well or that Mom has a horrible gag reflux? This led to Gaga's vigilant puke watch. Maia, thank God literally, has thus been spared. Gapa ran directly to the store for the ingredients to the beloved "Magic Potion!" It is a concoction of OJ, karyo syrup and ginger ale. It is a throw up buster! No joke! Mom took the lead taking the potion at about 10.... done puking! Next came Aunt Manda via the phone.... potion control by midnight. I was reluctant, but after winning "most puke" award I was force fed the miracle at 2:30am! I too was done. Secretly, in the middle of the night Gaga got sick... she willed it away!!?? The next morning we came to find out that Gapa was sick all night. Aunt Manda administered the potion... he too was cured! Darned MF2.... thank you Gaga's "Magic Potion!"

Saturday, feeling a bit better... we kicked it into full gear. Mom and Gaga (mostly Gaga) cleaned the house, did laundry, remade beds, disinfected the entire Gteam castle and had time to spare for the arrival of....................

DADDY!!! Boy did we miss you! Boy did you miss an interesting week... along with your birthday and anniversary. Mom promises a retake of both events this week!
Thank you Gaga, you are an angel.
Thank you Gapa and sorry we infected you.
Thank you Aunt Manda, you are Mom's flu friend and crisis mode companion.
Love- Liah

Quality time at Gaga and Gapa's

We spent the day at Gaga and Gapa's house. We had a yummy mac-n-cheese and hotdog lunch.
Then it was time to play outside!
We busted out the slip-n-slide.
We had to move quickly and enjoy as much fun as possible before Gapa came home from work. Last time he was around one of the "death traps" he took scissors to it!
We really had a blast! Mom and Aunt Manda slid as much as Liah. They are working on their creative slip-n-slide routines as we speak.
Mom is having a" transformation" week. Before:

She started at the top.... YIKES! (No worries, before Gaga was a teacher she was a licensed beautician!) The unveiling will take place later this week!
Then we met Aunt Manda's "little-friend" Eugene. He joined us for some dinner.
Yeah what a fun day!
Liah sliding away!

Diamond....

Our Beta fish Diamond seems to really be enjoying Goodenhood! He is getting big and swims merrily! He started filling his home with bubbles and cutely puffing his face up when he saw me. As he aggressively swam at my face peering into his bowl I figured... oh he must love me.......

Then I did some research. The bubble nest he makes is a good thing. It means he is happy and content. However, the puffy swim at me thing means he is intimidated by my face and wants to fight me?! So much for love! Should I take offense? :)

Liah turns 3!

Liah had very specific plans for her birthday. Her favorite color is orange!
She decided on a My Little Pony theme. Mom and Aunt Manda decorated until 1am the night before!

The next morning at 6am the Birthday Princess was up and ready to go!
She decided on Sonic for breakfast, Maia agreed that would be delicious!
She wore her first orange outfit!
Throwing up the threes! I can't believe my baby is 3. She is such a little lady. I can't believe how time flies!
Gaga and Gapa came for the party!

So did Aunt Manda!
The G-team
The girls

Maia was a bit confused and thought she was getting all the presents!
Mom and Dad.... can't believe Liah is 3!!

Present time!
Liah got a bunch of cool things.... a camera, a full length mirror, golf clubs, skates, a scooter, a necklace from Daddy and a weeks worth of Doodlebop tees (just to mention a few!)
Her special order cake. Mom custom made it the way Liah desired. Dad was in charge of wrapping!
We had chicken, potato salad (which I must say was fantastic, Gaga made it. I should really post the recipe cause I would bathe in it! mmm good!), fruit salad, and munchies. All the food had some orange to it.... party requirements!

To end the festivities we had a high stakes tournament of Candy Land Castle.
Let's just say there was laughing, tears and injuries sustained!
I think it would be fun for people to draw their own conclusions on this one!
What a fun day! We played the rest of the night and cleaned up!
Our big girl shared ALL her birthday loot with Maia!
We sure are blessed to have such a great family!
*Lauren crawled out of a hole for cake time..... I would not ever leave her out!... again! :)
